AFS has devised and implemented a Corporate Compliance Plan to ensure compliance with laws that govern the collection industry. All employees are dedicated to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).  Employees are monitored for quality assurance through our telephone monitoring system and by individual account review.

AFS is a member of the distinguished American Collectors Association International (ACA).  AFS offers its collection staff the opportunity to earn the designation of Professional Collection Specialist. 

In the highly regulated collection industry, compliance is critical.  With the laws changing on a state to state level, it can create a maze of unanswered questions to many clients on what is legally required to stay compliant.
